What is the difference between POY, DTY and FDY?
POY (Pre-Oriented Yarn) is partially oriented and used as feedstock in draw-texturing. DTY (Draw Textured Yarn) is POY that has been drawn and textured for elasticity and softness, widely used in knitwear, sportswear and home textiles. FDY (Fully Drawn Yarn) is fully oriented during spinning for high strength and smooth surface, suited for woven fabrics, lining and industrial applications. XFMFiber supplies all three across semi-dull, bright, full-dull and dope-dyed variants.
What denier ranges and filament counts are available?
XFMFiber supplies POY, DTY and FDY across a broad specification range — from 30D/24F up to 450D/192F for POY composite series (semi-dull, bright, full-matt and black silk), with deniers from 68D to 350D in dope-dyed, plus tailored counts for staple fiber, polyester chip and PTA grades.
